Maasterminal Maastricht handles, stores and tranships cargo on the Juliana Canal, with its own quay, private rail access and heavy-lift up to 120 tons. For shippers and forwarders across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
The terminal
Where the Juliana Canal meets rail and road
Maasterminal Maastricht is a logistics terminal in the Beatrixhaven, the industrial port of Maastricht. Barges from Rotterdam and Antwerp moor at our own quay, trains roll into a covered rail connection, and trucks reach the highway within minutes. That combination lets us switch your cargo between water, rail and road on one site.
The work spans four disciplines: project cargo and breakbulk, steel, containers, and international freight through our sister company SLE Global Logistics. Around 50 people run the operation, backed by the Steel Solutions group and the Steelport Maastricht cluster.

Project Cargo & Breakbulk
Heavy-lift up to 120 tons: turbine parts, locomotives, reactors, moved between barge, rail and truck.
STL Steel logistics
700,000 tons a year through three specialized warehouses on the Juliana Canal, inside Steelport Maastricht.
CNT Container logistics
Stripping and stuffing of 1,500 containers a year, with storage for 560 forty-foot units on site.
HUB International logistics hub
18,560 shipments a year between Rotterdam, Antwerp and the European hinterland. One contact for the whole chain.

A new container & breakbulk terminal at the Ankerkade
With EU co-funding from the Connecting Europe Facility (Rhombus UPSIDE III), we are extending the quay by 80 meters and building a 12 t/m² heavy-duty yard, including capacity for heavy battery systems.
