1,500 containers a year are stripped and stuffed on this terminal: steel coils, industrial parts and project cargo, moved between box, barge, rail and truck.
An inland container terminal receives, stores and processes sea containers away from the congested seaports. At Maasterminal Maastricht that means direct barge access to Rotterdam and Antwerp, a rail connection on site, storage for 560 forty-foot units on an 8,500 m² yard, and expert stripping and stuffing of the cargo inside. That last part is the real difference. Pricing follows the work: moves, storage days, and the handling the contents need.
A container of steel coils is not "a box". It is twenty tons of balance and lashing decisions. Stripping and stuffing here goes far beyond basic unloading: correct equipment, experienced hands, and quality control before anything moves on.
Because we sit inside a working cargo hub, a stripped container's contents can flow straight into steel storage or onward as breakbulk — no extra transport leg, no double handling fees.
Containers come in by barge from Rotterdam or Antwerp, by rail, or by truck. The gate knows what is on board before the box touches the yard.
Steel coils, pipes and industrial parts are loaded or unloaded with dedicated equipment. Weight, balance and value are managed by people who do this daily.
Repacking, palletization, quality inspection, labeling or cross-docking happen right at the terminal, so the cargo needs no extra trip.
The box (or its cargo) leaves by the cheapest reliable mode, bundled where possible to cut cost and CO₂.
Part of the flow
We collaborate with regional terminals and inland depots, so your container takes the shortest reliable path. The modal shift from road to water and rail cuts both transport cost and CO₂. Bundled transport does the rest.
